This is an Iconic 1960s Bruno Mathsson design Jetsons swivel chair with authentic chrome spider base and cognac leather with chrome hardware. This piece has been professionally restored and brought back to its original vintage condition and look. Featuring a bowl-shaped tubular steel frame suspended over a rotating chrome base, its ergonomic silhouette was famously refined over three years of intensive prototyping. The design pairs natural canvas backing with a tufted leather cushion pad secured by prominent chrome grommets at the headrest. Vintage first-generation productions from the late 1960s and 1970s are increasingly rare and celebrated for the rich patina their natural materials develop. Highly coveted among mid-century modern collectors, authentic early examples represent an enduring pinnacle of Nordic furniture design.

Gorgeous rare mid-century find here. An authentic vintage La-z-boy recliner from the 60s-70s. Appears to be a model 833.. It’s made with a wooden walnut? Frame in a medium reddish brown and covered with black woven fabric and leather/pleather. The leather headrest, sides, back, and foot rests are in great shape. It rocks and has 2 reclining positions. It also features incremental tilt control. The arm rests have small cracks on both sides. But should be repairable without replacing them (see pictures). The body is very comfortable and mechanisms all work great. This recliner is from a smoke free home.
