This round spherical vase is made of sterling silver by the Gorham Mfg. Gorham called this series of orchid vases, “EAST WIND”. This series is circa 1960. The vase is approximately 3-3/4 inches tall, the smallest of the series. As can be seen in the photographs from an old Gorham catalog, there were only 4 vases made in this series. Condition of this vase is very good showing only one very tiny dent in the lower half of the sphere. Nerver monogrammed or engraved The date mark is a six sided polygon used as a date mark for 1960.
