Mid Century Modern 1964 C N Burman WHITE PLASTIC & CHROME MUSHROOM LAMP measures 19″ high, shade is 12″ in diameter at the bottom and 4 1/2 in diameter at the top. Excellent condition, only very minor signs of use. I have shown a close-up of the one peel on the chrome base, very small mark, could be touched up. This is a rare lamp, I was unable to locate any other examples of this particular Burman mushroom. THE MAJORITY OF OUR MERCHANDISE IS FROM ESTATES AND THEREFORE IS USED, VINTAGE, ANTIQUE, OR JUST PLAIN OLD. A VERY RARE MID CENTURY MODERN METAL FLOOR LAMP WITH ETCHED FLORAL DESIGNS. DESIGNED WITH 3 TIERS OF LARGE, HEAVY ETCHED METAL TEARDROP BALLS. WITH 3 “LIGHT BULB SIZE” METAL TEARDROPS PER TIER. EACH ETCHED TEARDROP IS 5 1/2″ LONG X 2 1/4″ WIDE. POSSIBLY BY DANISH DESIGNER ERIK HOGLUND (OR IMPORTANT PREDECESSOR). PLEASE SEE HIS GLASS TEARDROP FLOOR LAMPS WITH THE EXACT DESIGN AND SAME GLASS SHADE AND BLACK ENAMEL COATED ROUND BASE. THIS ONE IS OBVIOUSLY FROM THE 1950’S-1960’S AND IS MADE OF REAL ETCHED METAL INSTEAD OF GLASS, MAKING IT EXTREMELY RARE! 49 HIGH WITH LAMP SHADE. 44 HIGH TO BULB SOCKET. WEIGHTS ABOUT 12 LBS AS SHOWN. 1950’S- 1960’S ESTIMATE. This stunning floor lamp is a perfect addition to any mid-century modern collection. Pictures 8 and 9 show a break at the bottom of one of the pieces of wood, and 10 and 11 show a break on the same piece at the top. Not very noticeable if turned to the back, but i have never attempted to repair it. Other than that broken piece that needs repair, it may need rewiring. It works as is, but needs updating.

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare vintage abstract face sculptural table lamp. Circa’50s /’60s. The lamp has a standard rotary knob switch located at the socket. It is inscribed “Heifetz” along the back edge of the lamp where the electrical cord emerges from the base (see photo). No shade present – that’ll be left up to the winning purchaser to provide on their own. This lamp is a definite statement piece that’ll make a nice addition to any modern interior setting! The lamp stands approx. 19.5 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the light socket). The wood base measures approx. 16.75″ tall x 8.25″ wide x 5.25 deep. The abstract face measures approx. 9″ tall x 5.5″ wide. Condition: Given its age, the lamp is in very good condition – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There is some minor paint loss in spots on the abstract face (see photos) – they can be easily touched up, or just left alone. We chose to leave it in the condition in which it was acquired. The biomorphic base shows some color wear, and there are spots where it looks like it may have come into contact with moisture. It can easily be restained, or again, just left alone. In our opinion, it does not interfere with the overall display of the lamp. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. The lamp is b. All sales are final. Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a seldom seen atomic tripod lamp designed by Ferris-Shacknove. Circa’50 /’60s. The lamp base is constructed of iron with small wooden atomic ball feet. The shade is constructed of textured cotton over paper. We have included an advertisement from an old Furniture Forum catalog for reference (see photo). It’s a stylish atomic lamp that’ll look fantastic in any mid century modern setting! With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. The shade alone measures approx. 7″ tall x 16″ in diameter. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket measures approx. The distance between each of the atomic ball feet measures approx. Condition: Overall, give its age, we’d say the lamp is in very good condition. Aside from the light bulb socket being a little loose and needing some tightening, the base is free from having any issues. It is structurally solid, and displays very nicely. The shade is original to the lamp. It has some minor faint areas of discoloration (possibly old moisture marks or something of that nature). We have not attempted to clean the shade in any manner, so we are uncertain as to whether or not they’ll come out. The shade can easily be turned to have those marks facing the back (see photos). The electrical wiring looks to be original to the lamp, and it is in good condition – no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. The lamp is b. All sales are final. It measures 27.75 from base to shade rim. The base is a 6″ diameter and it flares to approximately 7.5″. It has an avocado green metal stem. All original and working. Missing one green screw that holds the shade in place and has one chip at the base on one tadpole as shown in pictures. Marked on the bottom “Italy 5812″. Where will you find another?
