Up for sale is a stunning, authentic mid-century modern ceramic table lamp attributed to designer Warren Kessler. Featuring a classic Chinoiserie vase-form silhouette, this statement lighting piece showcases a brilliant, high-gloss mustard yellow finish that perfectly captures the iconic Hollywood Regency aesthetic of the 1950s/1960s. This lamp was safely tucked away in clean storage for decades, resulting in an exceptionally preserved finish. It is very sturdy. Pristine and flawless condition. There are absolutely no chips, cracks, flea bites, scratches, or blemishes anywhere on the yellow glazed porcelain. The lamp sits on a custom wood ring base decorated with a vintage faux-marble finish. The wood shows beautiful, authentic vertical age-cracking (natural stress fractures from expansion over the decades) that showcases its genuine vintage pedigree without affecting structural stability. Outfitted with its premium, original heavy brass twin-socket cluster and matching ball pull-chains stamped with the period-correct “PRESS” logo mark. Approximately 40.5 inches to the top of the finial rod. Heavy and exceptionally solid, weighing a substantial 8 lbs 12.6 oz. Features its original vintage non-polarized, dual-identical prong electrical cord. (As with all vintage electronics, regular inspection or updating is recommended for daily long-term use). Offered here is an exceptional, graduated set of three Southwestern-inspired studio pottery lidded vessels, sourced directly from the private estate of Alta Tingle, the legendary founder of The Gardener (Berkeley/Healdsburg, CA). Known for her pioneer vision in Modern Organic and California craft design, Tingle’s personal collection represents the absolute peak of texture-forward, curatorial ceramic art. This trio perfectly encapsulates that aesthetic, serving as an exceptional statement piece for any Wabi-Sabi, Mid-Century Modern, or Brutalist interior. Each wheel-thrown vessel features a masterfully executed, layered desert landscape pattern achieved through contrasting slips and raw, unglazed stoneware. The coarse, sand-like texture of the lower base beautifully contrasts with the smooth, custom-fitted metallic lids that crown each piece. The jars are physically cohesive and scale beautifully as a graduated triptych. The base of the vessel bears a crisp, incised geometric artist monogram signifying its origin from a highly skilled master craftsman of the American studio pottery movement. The set is in great vintage condition.
