For sale is a gorgeous mid century lamp base featuring a textured mold-blown cased caramel brown glass over white glass designed by Helena Tynell for Luxus. The variation in glass thickness gives the lamp a lovely organic quality, with subtle variations in color density overall. Signed “Luxus, Made in Sweden, NR, 1161.32″. The lamp base is in very good condition with the exception of a tiny imperfection on the top row of glass knobbies. Please see the photo #4. The lamp has a European style plug and would require an adapter for US use. Toggle switch for easy on /off. The top white & black piece which houses the socket is not affixed to the lamp base, but there is evidence of glue residue. Please refer to photos. I do not know if any other pieces, decorative or otherwise, were mounted to the top of the base. There is no lampshade or harp. Base Measures 15-3/4″ h x 5-1/2″ in diameter. The base would accommodate a shade measuring 11″ h x 14″ diameter at the base and 12 diameter at the top in order to look… The referenced lamps have had some work done to them, so may not be entirely original.
