Up for sale is an exceptional piece of Mid-Century Modern decor: a rare, genuine 1964 Austin Productions Inc. Austin Productions officially ceased all sculpture creation in 2009, making their mid-century, stamped pieces highly coveted by collectors worldwide. This beautiful, heavy woodland owl features an incredibly detailed, deeply layered feather texture finished with an earthy multi-tonal palette and striking, expressive yellow-orange eyes. The owl sits firmly on its iconic dark, block-style rectangular base. Year of Production: 1964. Subject: Great Horned / Woodland Owl. Style: Mid-Century Modern / Woodland Boho / Brutalist Accent. This piece is in Excellent / Great Vintage Condition. Unlike many durastone or chalkware pieces from this era that suffer from heavy paint flaking or blunt chips, this statue has been incredibly well-preserved. DESIGN: A striking and futuristic monumental Atomic Modern Brass & Rosewood table lamp design attributed to Maurizio Tempestini and manufactured by Laurel lighting circa 196o’s, The form and materials are highly reminiscent of Charles Eames iconic Rosewood veneer molded plywood lounger frame made by Herman Miller. This sculptural form is highlighted by brilliant polished Brass details encasing a streamlined Rosewood veneer “wing” perched atop a shimmering pedestal base. Pair of 2 Very Rare Extra Long Dinner Forks, in the Lauffer Bedford Pattern. The typical Bedford dinner fork measures a little over 7 inches long. These extra long forks are significantly larger.
