Offered for sale: MCM Brutalist Mid Century Modern LAST SUPPER Wall Sculpture Candle Rare JESUS. This is RARE find… Truly an amazing work of Brutalist Figurative art. This style is characterized by raw, textured surfaces and simplified, expressive human forms, similar to works by artists like Ruth Bloch or Krishna Reddy. The piece is crafted from a combination of copper, brass, and wood. The figures are mounted behind a long, curved wooden stave, which appears to be reclaimed, possibly from a barrel. (5) small metal candle cups are integrated into the design. There are (13) figures individual crafted/mounted to the wood with Jesus in the middle and a “halo” above his head. Sitting to his right is John the Apostle with his head resting on Jesus’s shoulder. Back has (2) hooks for hanging/mounting on the wall. Item is used and in good condition. Shows signs of wear consistent with use and storage but nothing major. I have decided not to clean this item and leave its original “as-found” patina. I will leave this for its new owner to decide. Very Rare, Vintage C. 1950’s Mid-Century Modern, Dorothy Thorpe Lucite Square Base, Candle Holders – Pair. These came from a mid-century modern home estate in Palm Springs Ca. In the old prestige neighborhood of Las Palmas where old and new Hollywood actors reside. You can find the common pretzel-shaped Dorothy Thorpe candle holders, but the square base. Holders are very very rare. They are in very good condition with normal wear and patina on the metal. These were made in the Hollywood regency & Mid-century modern era, and are a compliment to any interior and work in any color palette due to their transparency and understated elegance. 4″W × 4″D × 6.25H.

Rare Mid century clock and candle sconce pair by Belart Inc out of Mendota Minnesota. Measure approx 5 by 24. Good shape slight discolor to the white stripes. I don’t have a key for this clock but I wound it with a key that fit from another clock and it ran and kept good time for the couple of hours I was watching it so you would need to get a key we don’t have a clock store in this town but shouldn’t be hard to find.

This item definitely has that awesome, vintage look. Almost resembling a skyscraper, it has a brass ball & plate on top to place a candle. Couldn’t find much online about it, other than lamps of the same era with similar bases. I obtained it from an estate sale at an antique shop, and it is near flawless. No chips, gouges or scratches that I can find in the wood base. Brass top has some age discoloration, but no pitting from oxidation, and may be cleanable of you like. Very cool, rare piece.
