Pair of atomic mid-century modern design aluminum tubing sling chairs from the 50’s to the 70’s eras. Manufacturers unknown – no tags or labels survived. Possibly made by Homecraft or Tropitone. Styled similar to Bauhaus design. Photos show frames as they are now with upholstery removed. Photo with the blue material is how we found them – the material was not installed correctly. Rare Collector’s Piece. Martin Åberg for Servex. Teak Wastebasket with Aluminum Insert. Mid Century Modern Sweden. A standout example of Scandinavian modernism, this teak wastebasket designed by Martin Åberg for Servex. Is a must-have for serious collectors of 20th-century design. Produced in Sweden during the golden age of Nordic modernism, Åberg’s piece exemplifies the region’s dedication to functional beauty and material integrity. Solid teak wood with original brushed aluminum liner. Mid Century Modern / Scandinavian Modern. 11″ tall x 9.75″ diameter at the opening (edge to edge). Minor signs of use consistent with age. The teak has a beautiful patina, and the aluminum insert is intact and clean. This piece features a gracefully tapered silhouette, masterfully constructed in warm Scandinavian teak with vertical grain orientation, and includes its original aluminum insert -often missing from surviving examples. Minimalist, refined, and highly architectural, the design speaks to Åberg’s rare ability to elevate everyday objects into sculptural forms. Authentic Scandinavian modern from the mid-20th century. Increasingly hard to find, especially with original liner. Ideal for display in design-forward interiors, offices, or as part of a curated MCM collection. Often attributed to museum-quality collections and referenced in Scandinavian design literature. Excellent vintage condition with rich patina to the teak and only minor wear consistent with age. A rare large 1950s 60s Mid Century Modern pendant lamp. This classic Modernist cylindrical shaped brushed aluminum downlight with it’s beautiful clean, simple, minimalist lines is found in the best examples of Mid Century Modern architecture like the case study houses in Los Angeles and numerous Mid Century houses in Palm Springs. It has a long thin metal stem and original ceiling cap is included. The interior is done in chrome metal. It holds one regular size bulb. Original paper label on the inside : Marco Marvin Electric Mfg. It carries an older Underwriters Laboratories certification label. (the “UL” marking indicates approval by Underwriters Laboratories). As this is an older label, the lamp can be dated between the 1950s, 60s. Below is a quote from an add where Marco light designs were used in case study house no. 25 in Los Angeles. In good vintage condition, No dents, minor wear, minor surface scratches but this doesn’t detract from it’s beauty. Tall including stem : 26 (66 cm). Diameter width across: 6 (15 cm). Pendant tall : 11 1/2 (29 cm). Stem tall : 14 (35 1/2 cm). MARCO Marvin Electric MFG. Quote from a MARCO add in Architectural magazine in 1962 for Case study house no. The finest in Architectural design. The case study house no. 25 designed by architects Killingsworth, Brady, Smiths and associates included Marco recessed lighting to achieve the lighting effect so important to the interior. The Mutual Sunset aluminum table lamp features a tapered shaft, light diffuser, double light sockets, and a “high hat” shade. It has a wonderful brushed aluminum Atomic Era aesthetic. I would say it is in good overall working condition with wear consistent with age and use. There are scuffs and scratches as well as pitting along the base and stem. I did not clean or polish these lamps prior to taking the pictures. It is approximately 16″ in diameter and 21″ high. Thank you for looking, and feel free to ask any questions.

The tree will need to be assembled, which is very easy to do. It will also be arriving in a small-ish box as they compact down very tightly. Rare, extra large vintage tinsel Christmas tree in a warm, sparkly gold! The tree is from New Zealand and is possibly from the N. Condition: Overall good vintage condition. I believe one branch at the bottom is missing. Some of the branches may be snug or slightly loose in the wooden holes, but they all fit! Branches can me molded into the positions desired. Some may be slightly crooked, but can be bent back if needed. Tinsel bits to be expected at the bottom of the box. Tree trunk may lean slightly at first, but the center poles can be rotated until it balances. The wooden poles fit together, but you have to twist the metal dowels in as its a snug fit. Please note this is vintage tinsel, not aluminum metal (the stand is aluminum).
