One of the rare set of the Folon posters, this serigraph print, produced in acrylic on cardstock with silver foil, measures 25.5″ x 33.25″, and is in Fine condition with some edge bumps and shown in photos and acid contact from the original framing to the rear. There are some very slight, yet not distracting scuff to the face. All colors remain vivid and no discoloration is present. Given the very slight condition issues. This print is priced to move. Pierre Paulin Globe Lounge Chair and ottoman by Artifort. With its elegantly rounded shell on a chromed tubular base, the Globe Chaise has all the qualities of a comfortable modern chaise. The Globe Lounge Chair was designed by French designer Pierre Paulin for Artifort in 1959/60. Pierre Paulin trained to become a sculptor in Paris but an unfortunate accident left one of his hands partially impaired. Pierre Paulin was able to infuse the free-flowing curves of sculpture into his fabulous chairs. This careful balance of rounded free-flowing design is typical of Pierre Paulin’s organic furniture style. The simplicity and gently curved forms of his Globe Lounge Chair makes the design seem tranquil, pure and inviting.
