Vintage Large Oil Rain Hanging Swag Lamp with Unique Rare Nude Goddess. I could not find this particular version of the goddess anywhere. Roughly 27 1/2″ tall and about 13″ wide. I believe it would of had a bottom finial type decoration that is missing. Tested and working good. Has been thoroughly cleaned. Other than the missing bottom decorative piece it looks great. Cord is roughly 14′ 2 long.

This is a beautiful and very striking Antique Mid Century Modern clay or red stoneware sculpture, depicting a voluptuous and alluring nude African American woman. The figure’s shy, and authentic gaze and her posture suggest a model who is perhaps shy and demure, not used to modeling nude. The most unique and wonderful aspect of this sculpture is her chubby and voluptuous figure, which is perfectly accentuated and modeled in a powerful and dignified way. Truly a beauty to behold. Appears to be made from a red pottery clay, and glazed with a luminous black paint or ceramicist lacquer. This figure likely dates to the 1950’s – 1960’s, but could certainly be much older. It appears to be unsigned. I believe this may have been sculpted by someone very important. Perhaps you recognize the artist? This sculpture in many ways reminds me of the sculptures by famed Mexican artist, Botero. Approximately 5 inches at its widest point x 14 inches at its highest point. This is really an exquisite piece of Mid-Century Modern Style art. She is leaning forward and resting her head on her shoulder and arm on her knee. Appears to be deep in thought. This piece is signed JARU and dated 1987 on the bottom. The color is a wonderful nude/peach that is just perfect. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks or repairs. It measures roughly 12 inches wide, 11 inches tall and about 7.5 inches in depth. I’ve searched the internet high and low and have not been able to fine another like this one. A truly rare piece! Please see all pictures as they serve as part of the description. Please note that there is a small shadowy circle in some pictures…. That is a flaw in my camera and not this piece! Offered For Sale is a Rare Mid Century or Eames Era Nude Woman Figural Heifetz Oak Wood Lamp w/ Shade – The ebonized wood base has a few scratches which could be easily fixed – the figure of the woman itself is in excellent condition – the lamp needs to be re-wired, as the cord is frayed – it is rare to find the original shade, which is also in very nice shape – I cannot find this marked with the Heifetz name, but it certainly is identical to many similar pieces, some of which are also not signed – 36″ in height to the top of the wood finial – the shade is 14″ deep and 18 wide.
