RARE Pair Vintage MCM Abstract Figural Ceramic Lamps Mid Century Lighting Modern

ITEM : For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare pair of abstract figural table lamps. Circa’50s /’60s. The figures are a ceramic pottery material, and they are a brownish color with green highlights. They each rest atop a biomorphic wooden base that is painted black (see photos). While we aren’t 100% certain on the artist, the figures remind us of Jitka Forejtova, and the wooden bases remind us of Heifetz. Each lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch that is located at the socket. No shades present – it’ll be left up to the purchaser to provide their own. They’re stellar lamps that’ll look great in any interior setting! The female lamp on the left in the photos is approx. 24.75 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the final). 17.75 to the socket from the bottom of the base. The figure itself is approx. 12″ tall x 7.5″ wide, and her wooden base is approx. 9.5″ wide x 5.75″ deep. The male lamp on the right in the photos is approx. 24.75 tall, and the distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 12.75″ tall x 8″ wide. His base measures approx. 8.75″ wide x 5.5″ deep. CONDITION : Given their age and rarity, we say they’re in overall very good condition. The female lamp has a few imperfections which we’ll mention now. First off, it appears she had a careful repair done to her outstretched hand by a previous owner (see photos). It isn’t readily noticeable unless you are looking for it, but it is there, and is being mentioned for accuracy. The top side of the wooden base that she rests on has some minor paint loss (see photos). The other figure doesn’t appear to have any issues, nor does its wooden base – no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring looks original with no issues to report – no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always suggest having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use, just to be safe. ITEM : For your consideration we are presenting for sale an interesting and seemingly rare vintage abstract table from the atomic era. The base is constructed of brass wiring, with the bottom most section being a black colored chalkware material resting atop a brass wire base. There are two black wooden balls attached to the brass from the back side of the lamp (see photos), thus giving the lamp some further dimensionality. The double-tiered fiberglass shade is green color with random black arc designs painted on the surface (see photos). It’ll make a great addition to any modern interior setting. With the fiberglass shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 31 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial). The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. The base measures 20.25″ tall x 11″ wide (at its widest point) x 6 deep (at its deepest point). The bottom of the base measures approx. 5.25 in diameter. The double-tiered fiberglass shade measures approx. 9″ tall x 13″ in diameter (measured across the top opening) x 16 in diameter (measured at the bottom opening). The round black wooden balls are each approx. CONDITION : Very good condition. The brass components of the base are free from dents, dings, rust, oxidations, etc. The fiberglass shade is free from blemishes, burn marks, creases, stains, punctures, repairs, etc. The lacing appears to be original and is intact. The electrical wiring also appears to be original to the lamp, and it is free from damage – there are no frays, splits or exposed areas on the wiring. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare vintage atomic era table lamp. The base is constructed of iron, and there are two ceramic inserts, one rests at the very top and serves as a shallow dish – perhaps for some faux plants, and the other insert is also ceramic and encloses the light bulb. Both ceramic pieces are off-white in color, with thin black paint swirls throughout. The lamp stands approx. The ceramic dish / bowl at the top has a diameter of approx. 11, and it is approx. The ceramic encasement around the light bulb measures approx. 8″ tall x 6″ in diameter. The distance between the legs is approx. Condition: Excellent condition – no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, bends, dents, dings, etc. The interior side of the dish at the top shows some minor signs of light discoloration from age and use – nothing objectionable whatsoever (see photos)… We’re solely mentioning it for accuracy. The electrical wiring is in good condition – no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc, and it looks to be original to the lamp. ITEM : For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing and rare vintage space age lamp. Materials: Chrome, Acrylic, Wood. There are fifteen (15) metal spokes that radiate outward and downward from the top, and they each end at staggered heights. At the end of each of these spokes is a clear round acrylic ball (see photos). Contained within there are three sockets encased in chrome shells (again, see photos). There is an on/off rotary knob switch embedded into the front of the wooden base, and it allows the lamp to have three-way functionality: either one, two, or all three lights can be lit up depending on how much light you desire. We are uncertain as to the maker of this beauty as there are no tags or labels present. It’s a definite statement piece that’ll look great in any modern interior setting! MEASUREMENTS : The lamp stands approx. 41″ tall x 18″ wide x 18 deep. The black wooden base measures 6 cubed. Each of the fifteen (15) acrylic balls measure approx. The three light sockets are set at staggering heights from the base – the lowest being 12″, then 16″ and finally 17.5 high. CONDITION : Very good condition – no breaks, bends, rust, oxidation, pitting, etc. The chrome could benefit from a gentle cleaning / polishing, but it does display nicely in its current state. One of the acrylic balls has an area on it where it looks like it began to melt from an excessively hot bulb. This ball can be turned to face the back, and it can also be rotate on its metal spoke so that it isn’t seen. The wood base shows some minor color loss along the edges, and there are some tiny white specks on it – probably from when someone was painting. The white specks also appear on the round wooden disc at the very top of the lamp (see photos). Wiring looks to be original to the lamp, and it’s in great shape – there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition.
