Interesting mid century floor lamp in black wood, black metal and brass with original fiberglass shade. Cannot find any maker marks but the style definitely resembles some of the Majestic lamps. The closest one I could find is in the last photo. A nicer lamp but a lot more expensive too! The decorative elements are similar with the same little brass ball cap nuts. Hard to see because photo is a bit blurry but you can look it up on the 1st dibs website. The cord is original but the plug is a vintage replacement that looks very appropriate. 3 way switch works great. Most of the brass sections have been repainted but you can see some of the original up just under the light bulb. Everything looks quite nice for its age with some marks here and there consistent with age & use. There is a little rough, discolored area under the rim on the base as seen in 2nd to last photo. Lamp stands about 55.5 inches to top of shade but finial adds another inch or so. Weighs about 10 lbs, so it’s not a super heavy lamp but is quite stable and solid. Measurements and closeups are shown in photos so please take a look and remember that last photo is NOT part of this listing! It’s just to show you the most similar lamp I could find online.

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a seldom seen Majestic table lamp with its accompanying fiberglass shade. The lamp has a very atomic feel to it! The base of the lamp consists of three ebonized wooden boomerang-shaped accent pieces that are connected in the center. Each of these wooden pieces culminates at a brass ring at the top, and a brass ring at the bottom – so, there are six in total (see photos). The lamp comes with it’s original wooden ball pull chain which is used to turn the lamp on/off. The fiberglass shade is a reddish color, and it has random black and silver painted designs on the exterior surface (again, see photos). It’s a great and unusual lamp for any collector of lighting! With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 33.5 tall (measured from the resting surface to the top of the shade). The distance from the resting surface to the light socket is approx. The distance from the bottom of the lower brass rings to the top of the upper brass rings is approx. Each of the brass rings measures approx. 3.5 in diameter. The fiberglass shade measures approx. 15″ tall, with the diameter at the top measuring 14″, and the diameter at the bottom measuring approx. Condition: The lamp is in very good condition for its age. The wood is free from chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. The brass components are free from dents, dings, repairs, etc. They have a gentle patina that comes with age, and they still shine nicely. The fiberglass shade has some very faint creases which will come out with a steaming, or it can be left alone – we’re solely mentioning for accuracy – they aren’t bad at all. Aside from that, the shade is free from rips, holes, tears, punctures, burn marks, stains, etc. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in good condition – there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas to the wiring. The plug tip has a little white paint on it that can come clean. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. We always recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the lamp prior to long-term use, just to be safe.

Unusual MAJESTIC LAMP CORPORATION CO Sculptural Spiral or Snake like shaped brass gold -color metal, original oval cylindrical cylinder shaped parchment??? Sits on a black kidney shaped metal base. Has a brass cylindrical finial & a brass cylinder weight on the pull chain switch. Simple minimalist art sculptural table lamp light. Vintage 1930’s 1940’s 1950’s era lamp. Very mcm midcentury mid-century modern. Measures about 29″h to top of final, 26″h top of harp, 20″h to top of socket, Shade is 13.75″t x 8.75″diameter, Base is 7″L. Vintage preowned used condition. Brass has patina & needs to be polished. Believe there use to be felt on underside but it’s missing. Shade has staining in a few holes where trim cord threaded through & musty smell. Lamp & shade have dust dirt marks scuffs rust, wear consistent with age & use. Plug is cracked & needs replacement. Light bulb NOT included.
