For your consideration is one (1) uber rare, EAMES LA FONDA Chair with the even rarer Alexander Girard original purple melange (the thread composition appears to be purple, blue, and pink if you look closely, but the overriding color impression is purple) pin check fabric. Note: The price is for one (1) complete chair (both armshell and base with mounting screws). Stunning chair with a sleek silhouette. Looks gorgeous in every angle. “Herman Miller” embossed on the bottom of the cream parchment armshell, along with a date stamp of March 27, 1975. Overall great vintage condition with age appropriate wear, notably superficial surface soiling on the fabric (which can be removed with the proper cleaner). However, the seams are tight, the foam on the seat is still soft and plush, and the chair is structurally sound overall. This is a true collector’s chair, vintage and all-original in a rare style and the ever-desirable and highly-coveted purple Girard fabric. Here we have a SUPER RARE George Nelson designed Howard Miller clock. I have been collecting Howard Miller clocks for 40+ years and this is the only example of this model I’ve ever had. This clock appears in the 1968-69 HM catalog. I will include a reprint of the catalog page and the cover that the clock is in. Please feel free to make an offer for what you feel it’s worth. This clock is in great WORKING condition. Though the brass has some issues that you can see in the pictures, I don’t believe this clock was ever used. The plug still retains a plastic protector and there are no telltale signs of wall-rash. Someone did etch numbers on the backplate that are probably a model/stock #. The hands are about as pristine as you could ask for. I gladly welcome any and all offers! This item has been in my private collection for 30+ years. I found it in Zeeland, Mi, near the Herman Miller and Howard Miller factories. Thank you for your interest. I have decided to sell the bulk of my collection, which I began acquiring in the late 1970s. I have 1000s of rare (some not-so-rare), and desirable items.
