Here we have a SUPER RARE George Nelson designed Howard Miller clock. I have been collecting Howard Miller clocks for 40+ years and this is the only example of this model I’ve ever had. This clock appears in the 1968-69 HM catalog. I will include a reprint of the catalog page and the cover that the clock is in. Please feel free to make an offer for what you feel it’s worth. This clock is in great WORKING condition. Though the brass has some issues that you can see in the pictures, I don’t believe this clock was ever used. The plug still retains a plastic protector and there are no telltale signs of wall-rash. Someone did etch numbers on the backplate that are probably a model/stock #. The hands are about as pristine as you could ask for. I gladly welcome any and all offers! This item has been in my private collection for 30+ years. I found it in Zeeland, Mi, near the Herman Miller and Howard Miller factories. Thank you for your interest. I have decided to sell the bulk of my collection, which I began acquiring in the late 1970s. I have 1000s of rare (some not-so-rare), and desirable items. I have four of these 1968 original 1705’s for sale. The chairs all feature a La Fonda side shell top of a contract base. All four chairs are in original unrestored condition and are labeled and marked. The chairs are in very good condition. They show some signs of wear that are consistent with their age and history. There are scratches and scuffs on the fiberglass shells and the aluminum bases could all use some polishing. All of the casters roll nicely and the chairs swivel freely. One of the chairs has a couple of light scratches and one small burn mark on the seat. The seats on the other chairs are in terrific shape with no noticeable marks. 29″h x 18 3/4″ w x 20 d.
