Very rare “Consensus” by Drexel Furniture mid-century modern console or sofa table in excellent vintage condition. I haven’t found another table like this one online or anywhere. Characterized by its parquetry-patterned top and clean lines, Drexel’s “Consensus” line, introduced in the 1970s, is known for its use of oak and geometric designs. The table’s legs are straight and slender, with a recessed detail running vertically, adding a subtle design element without disrupting the overall minimalist aesthetic. It has a lacquer finish which highlights the light and dark parquet pattern. Size: 59 3/4″ L x 15 5/8″ D x 25 5/8 H. Original vintage, upholstery is delicate with typical age and use related wear and fading. Seat cushion foam is dry. About 34in deep x 31in wide x 28in tall, seat height 15 1/2in. Drexel Mid Century Modern Lounge Chair Super Rare. I have owned this chair for over 25 years. I got it exactly as you see it. It has a thick naugahyde turquoise vinyl covering That covers front and back. This chair originally was designed to have a oval Spring Steel peace in the rear allowing the chair to bounce. That peace had been removed prior to my ownership. It still does retain the original piano hinge so if you want to have a spring fabricated to take it back to original design you can do so easily. There are some cigarette melts to the vinyl as seen in the picture. Those also predate my ownership and have never bothered me in the least. This is a very rare chair it is not in perfect shape it has plenty of signs of use but still has a lot of life ahead of it. I have enjoyed it for over a quarter of a century and it’s time to pass it on. I do have this cross posted so this ad may disappear at any moment. Again this is an as is no return sale.
