Listed for sale is an original pair of George Nakashima captain’s chairs, never refinished and in gorgeous original condition. Uniquely, the two chairs vary dimensionally from more recent examples produced at the Nakashima Studio. Per the last two photos in this listing, the chairs were both brought to Mira Nakashima for authentication and assessment. Due to the informal nature of production in the 1950’s, Mira believes these to be early examples prior to George deciding on a single specific dimension. She also believes that they very well may have been special ordered for a couple with one taller and one shorter individual. As a result, the backrest crests vary from one another. Mira will be providing a written letter, which will be made available to you upon purchasing the chairs. Furthermore, I have an order card (not specifically mentioning these chairs, as it was a later order card) from the Nakashima Studio from the same family, as this came from an estate with many Nakashima pieces. The price listed is for one chair. Both chairs are available. And I will make sure that it is as inexpensive for you as possible. Vintage RARE mid-century modern MCM 1950s Atomic UFO table desk lamp. In great condition for its age! It works perfectly and the cord is in great condition as well. It measures approximately 13 1/2 tall. The arm and shade swivel on the heavy metal base. The lamp lights up with a beautiful indirect light. Perfect for a desk or night stand. This lamp is somewhat difficult to photograph, its even cooler looking in person. Get it while you can, as youll most likely never see another one quite like it! I know I havent. Please see pictures to judge condition for yourself. Shows signs of normal use. Top of shade has dulled most likely due to being cleaned over the decades. Could easily be restored but I believe it has a great vintage look the way it is. Ships fast and free with tracking! Up for Sale is a Rare Pair of 1950’s Streamline Heywood Wakefield Wheat Built-In Niche Nightstands. These were made to be connected to a headboard and they are also freestanding with a drop down cabinet door. They measure 32-1/2 inches tall by 14″ wide by 11″deep and are both in very good vintage condition. They show normal signs of wear from age and use such as light scratches, marks, and nicks. As you can see in the photos they were meant to be screwed in the headboard or pushed up on each side of one.
