What an exceptional estate find! This complete Georg Jensen “Numbers” collection, featuring a consecutive sequence from zero through nine, is exceedingly rare. Dating to the 1960s, most sets like this were separated decades ago. This vintage ten-piece set also includes the very elusive zero plate, often omitted by original buyers, making this collection especially scarce and. This collection fully embraces an Op Art vibe, with each white porcelain plate featuring a large Arabic numeral in a bold, geometric, high-contrast black font. This striking design makes this collection perfect for stylish displays: whether as an amazing, curated wall arrangement, a sequential shelf lineup, or a distinctive mid-century modern dish set. One fun distinctive detail is that the six and nine plates share the same front graphic. Their orientation is identified by the factory backstamp: when the backstamp is upright, the front loop faces down on the “6” plate and up on the “9” plate. They are approximately 7.5 in diameter and are in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks and only minimal wear. The one plate has a few tiny scratches to the black glaze. To preserve the integrity of the black glaze, hand washing with a mild detergent is highly recommended. An intriguing mid-century bull sculpture believed to be of German origin and dating to the 1960s. Crafted from what appears to be a pottery and stone composite material, it features a richly textured surface with decorative details that appear to have been burned into the design. The eyes are believed to be accented with 24k gold leaf. Height: 7.5. Width (horn to horn): 6.5. Depth: 1.5. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description. This vintage piece shows wear consistent with age, including chips and losses to the horns, wear to portions of the face and edges, and a small area of chipping along the edge of the face when viewing the sculpture from the front left side. Please examine the horns, sides of the face, underside, and all photographs closely. There is writing on the underside that is difficult to read, as well as an illegible burned signature or maker’s mark on the reverse.
