What an exceptional estate find! This complete Georg Jensen “Numbers” collection, featuring a consecutive sequence from zero through nine, is exceedingly rare. Dating to the 1960s, most sets like this were separated decades ago. This vintage ten-piece set also includes the very elusive zero plate, often omitted by original buyers, making this collection especially scarce and. This collection fully embraces an Op Art vibe, with each white porcelain plate featuring a large Arabic numeral in a bold, geometric, high-contrast black font. This striking design makes this collection perfect for stylish displays: whether as an amazing, curated wall arrangement, a sequential shelf lineup, or a distinctive mid-century modern dish set. One fun distinctive detail is that the six and nine plates share the same front graphic. Their orientation is identified by the factory backstamp: when the backstamp is upright, the front loop faces down on the “6” plate and up on the “9” plate. They are approximately 7.5 in diameter and are in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks and only minimal wear. The one plate has a few tiny scratches to the black glaze. To preserve the integrity of the black glaze, hand washing with a mild detergent is highly recommended. Vintage Rare Original 70s Mid Century Modern Arne Jacobsen & Georg Christensen Danish Modern Wall Clock – Denmark. Clock and box are in Excellent Condition! Rare, Original, Danish made, 1971 Mid Century Modernist Arne Jacobsen and Georg Christensen Aluminum and Convex Glass Wall Clock. The clock was designed for the Danish National Bank in 1971. Made of Aluminum with a Convex Glass face. Single AA Battery powered Quartz Movement. The clock was made in two editions. One (like this one) had Georg Christensen’s name on the face The other edition said Arne Jacobsen on the face, as they both collaborated on the design. Later re-editions of this clock, in 2000, only were produced with designer Arnie Jacobsen’s name on the face. I believe the re-editions were made in Germany. On the bottom of the face, of this clock, it says Made in Denmark. Each hour is indicated by the filled in black box in a row of boxes. Elegant long hands with a center red dot at the vortex. The designer tag and logo is on the back of the clock. 30 cm D x 4 cm Deep. In VERY nice vintage pre-owned condition. Normal wear commensurate with age. 19″W × 2″D × 12H. Vintage, Antique or Pre-owned. Good Condition, Original Condition Unaltered, Some Imperfections.
