Offering an IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND. Matching PAIR of GEORGE KOVACS floor lamps from the late 1970’s. Both lamps work perfectly. Gorgeous very sleek retro mid-century modern high-tech design by Ettore Sottsass. They were very expensive at the time. If memory serves, I bought these at the Roche Bobois high-end furniture store in Beverly Hills, California. For many years and were seldom used, but I live in a small apartment now and they have been in storage for awhile. And it is time to let someone else enjoy them. The round black metal bases do show wear from thirty years of use. And ten years in storage. There is some corrosion, edgewear, small scratches and other blemishes to the bases but. It would be very easy and not very expensive at all to sand the bases down and repaint them so they look brand new. Please inspect all of the close-up photos carefully. Dimensions are 41 inches tall. Base diameter is 11 inches. But frankly, I’m not sure what one would do with just one of these. This may be the only working pair of these lamps available in the entire world. They are located approximately 40 miles north of downtown Chicago.
Up for sale is a MUST SEE!!!! It is a 17.5″ (to the bottom of the socket, 20″ to the top of the socket) RARE Atomic Age Mid Century Modern MCM Black & White Metal Brass Table Lamp. I’m not sure what this shape would be called. I can’t find another like it to help me out. It is in GOOD to VERY GOOD Condition for it’s age. It has a couple of tiny scratches as seen in the photos and needs a good cleaning. I only did a light touch up. Please look at the pictures. It was probably to keep the lamp from scratching the table. I have other lamps listed this month, but, this one is my FAVORITE! Don’t forget the “Best Offer” option. I will not accept any best offer within the first week of the listing.
