Exquisite and Rare Rosewood Herman Miller. Eames DCM Dining Chair. These don’t turn up very often. A rare rosewood DCM chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. Rosewood was not a standard veneer/finish choice and was only available by custom special order. Manufactured in the 50’s – 60’s, in USA. The chrome frame and wooden panels are in excellent vintage condition! Amazingly, there is NO PITTING or RUST on the metal! The finish is not original but exceptionally, professionally reapplied! The shock mounts are also upgraded. Base retains all original self leveling floor glides. (They are made from nylon to work on various floor surfaces). And they are in pristine condition! The color and the grain pattern are spectacular! Due to the carefully researched proportions and angles of the molded plywood, this chair is an extremely comfortable one for long durations. I have for sale a genuine vintage Herman Miller padded modern chair. The model is EC-127. Designed by Charles Eames. The back and the seat have vinyl covers. The frame/legs are made of solid chrome metal. Please note that the seat has a torn hole. Approximate dimensions are: 30.5″ tall, 20″ wide, and 21 deep. This is an iconic, masterfully designed, high quality furniture. That is in good condition overall. I believe orange color is hard to find. They are the real deal made of fiberglass and then factory padded and naugahyde covered in cobalt blue. They come with their original screws too, but no bases. 17 inches high, 18.5 inches wide and 15 inches depth from the front of chair to where your butt meets the padded lower back. Note: The price is for one (1) complete chair (both armshell and base with mounting screws). Stunning chair with a sleek silhouette. Looks gorgeous in every angle. “Herman Miller” embossed on the bottom of the cream parchment armshell, along with a date stamp of March 27, 1975. Overall great vintage condition with age appropriate wear, notably superficial surface soiling on the fabric (which can be removed with the proper cleaner). However, the seams are tight, the foam on the seat is still soft and plush, and the chair is structurally sound overall.
