For your consideration is one (1) uber rare, EAMES LA FONDA Chair with the even rarer Alexander Girard original purple melange (the thread composition appears to be purple, blue, and pink if you look closely, but the overriding color impression is purple) pin check fabric. Note: The price is for one (1) complete chair (both armshell and base with mounting screws). Stunning chair with a sleek silhouette. Looks gorgeous in every angle. “Herman Miller” embossed on the bottom of the cream parchment armshell, along with a date stamp of March 27, 1975. Overall great vintage condition with age appropriate wear, notably superficial surface soiling on the fabric (which can be removed with the proper cleaner). However, the seams are tight, the foam on the seat is still soft and plush, and the chair is structurally sound overall. This is a true collector’s chair, vintage and all-original in a rare style and the ever-desirable and highly-coveted purple Girard fabric.
