Isn’t this fantastic? Such a fantastic mid-century modern aesthetic here. Brass is becoming so popular again, especially vintage brasses. I want to assign it to the Hollywood Regency category of design but it could work in so many different decors fluently. The plug doesn’t look scary like so many that you find on these older lamps. You can have fun picking out your own lampshade since that is not included. I’m visualizing a kind of subtle paper IKEA lamp shade but let your imagination run wild. I did not attempt to clean the brass but let it in the state with the patina. I know a lot of designers are very particular about the cleaning process. So I will leave that to you. Do you think it is a Chinese character or a kanji one (the languages share characters)? The base is composed of two pieces that slide apart easily. The height of the base is approximately 10.5 in and the lamp as shown with a bulb in it is 19 inches. The bulb is just shown for photographic purposes to demonstrate full height and bulb is not included. This is just such an exciting piece to me because one really encounters a rarity like this. With MCM decor being white-hot, this is a wonderful find for a designer or interior decorator or just anyone who loves to beautify their home with design classics of yesteryear.

LARGE RARE WESTWOOD TONY PAUL MODERN WALNUT BRASS SCULPTURE TABLE LAMP 1950’s. DESIGN: A large and incredibly rare sculptural Modern Walnut and Brass table lamp designed by Tony Paul for Westwood lighting circa 1950’s. This designs staggered Walnut/Brass profile is reminiscent of Tony Pauls’ similar large stacked cone shaped floor and table lamp designs from the same era with the additional profoundly altered stealthy Walnut disk sections. Manufactured of solid select dark Walnut wood and Brass finished cast sections all very well engineered and crafted. Crowned with the original Brass finial which mounts t. He Off White Linen shade which is a contemporary replacement to the original that casts the ideal glow upon the dynamic form. I have handled hundreds of Westwood lamps over my decades of curating but I have never come across this design anywhere leading me to believe it was a sales sample or very limited production… Adding to that its sublime pristine condition and its does not get any better than this… You will likely never see this exquisite design again! CONDITION : This stunning Atomic Modern lamp is in exceptional condition, completely intact and fully functional. Original wood finish shows no obvious signs of wear or age while the hefty Brass/plated sections shows just some small spots of finish loss to the original clear coat. Original 3 way socket and power cord have been inspected to be clean and safe. Westwood manufactures label mostly intact on socket. The Off-White colored Linen shade is a new contemporary replacement and virtually perfect. DIMENSIONS: This fairly large lamps general dimensions are 32″ tall with an overall width of 6″ to the Brass/Wood form. The fabric shade shown is 12″ wide X 16″ high, the actual shade delivered may vary ever so slightly in fabric and details due to suppliers availability. Ulb is NOT included.

This sleek and sophisticated Mid-Century Modernist Three Piece Fire Tool Set in Rare Polished Brass and Clear Lucite by Alessandro Albrizzi originates from the Italy, Circa 1970. Features an excellent balance of slender rounded and rectilinear forms, with a flat base in polished brass beneath a rectangular pillar finished in Clear Lucite with brass fittings on three of the four sides holding the tools. The tools hang vertically, replete with a shovel, poker, and brush. The handles are rendered in the black Resin, rounded and matt in finish, with brass cylindrical elements at the base of the handles. Truly lovely and highly usable, this fire tool set will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors.
