6 RARE 1920s Cesca Dining Cane arm chairs Marcel Breuer thonet. The B64 chair was designed by Marcel Breuer for Thonet in 1927. These original Thonet chair are made of chrome-plated tubular steel, dstained beech, bentwood and cane. The first producer of the B64 was Thonet, starting in 1927. Later in the 1950s, Gavina also started making them with Breuer’s blessing and participation. Gavina was the first to name the chair the “Cesca”, after Breuer’s daughter, Francesca. H 80 cm x W 58 cm x D 60 cm, Sh. These are museum-quality pieces. One of the caning is a little messed up. But it is easily fixed. This is the real deal. These are more of a statement piece.
