Rare Vintage JUDITH DANER Enamel Wall Plaque Mid Century Modern Copper Artwork. A great example of Mid Century Enamel on Copper Tile Plaque Artwork created by. Well-known and listed New England American Enamelist/Artist JUDITH DANER. Beautifully stylized design mounted on a modern, beveled, sleek, solid walnut? I believe Daner used a stenciling technique here giving the design a layered/3-dimensional effect rendered in colors of blues, green, black and white enameling. The technique required multiple firings to accomplish. Enameled Copper Tile – 7.5 x 5.5 inches. Overall Wood Board/Frame – 11 x 9 inches. Signed with Daner’s initials “JD” in the bottom right corner. Stunning example of Judith Daner’s enamel art! JUDITH DANER BIO b. Daner studied at Parson’s School of Design and the Art Students League in New York. She received her BFA with top honors from Pratt Institute. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums nationally as well as the Biennale Internationale in France. During her early career, Daner designed for Bovano of Cheshire, Connecticut, and Robert Wuersch Associates of Fall River, Massachusetts. Regarded as one of the modern Masters of Enameling, her pieces are very collectible and sought after. Enameled plaque is in wonderful condition, free of dents, dings and scratches. Walnut board/frame has a small blemish on the lower right bevel – underneath the face of the board. Seen when looking up from underneath the board (see last photo).

Pottery is in great condition. Burlap backing on Masonite is fine. There is a paint smug on the right edge of burlap, but you will notice it is the same color of the glaze on the rooster, so suspect it happened when the piece was created and not damage. Frame has a little scuffing on the edge here and there, but suspect some Old English Scratch Remover should take care of that for you. No, not a company representative, just know it works… Totally Original piece in Great Condition.. See photos and description. The frame measures 19 3/4″ high x 21 1/2″ wide, rooster measures approx. 13 3/4″ high x 14 1/4″ wide. And the total depth of frame and pottery is approx. 1 or slightly more. Syroco Wood is a wood pulp composite that was created by the SYRacuse Ornamental COmpany. Aging 60 years, this authentic MCM wall plaque art is extraordinarily beautiful! It has added uniqueness which is attributed to the created mold used to for it was thicker. Whereby, it allowed the artisan to create a work that appears to be freely floating within the whimsical frame. This minimalistic design influences a greater depth of dimension. As a result, the entire work could feature the Syroco gold finish. You are able to see from the pictures the details reflected from the light and the shadowing within the French Poodle couple. To bold the caricature, the artisan applied a lighter color in the fill areas. Other ordinary aging, it is in excellent condition and ready to hang in your home. It is free of scratches, scuffs, cracks, and repairs. Enhanced screen-shot illustrates the numbering along with the original label is on the back. Made in Syracuse, New York. Dimensions: 22″ Tall x 14 1/2″ wide x 1 1/2 deep.

Vintage Rare Original 70s Mid Century Modern Arne Jacobsen & Georg Christensen Danish Modern Wall Clock – Denmark. Clock and box are in Excellent Condition! Rare, Original, Danish made, 1971 Mid Century Modernist Arne Jacobsen and Georg Christensen Aluminum and Convex Glass Wall Clock. The clock was designed for the Danish National Bank in 1971. Made of Aluminum with a Convex Glass face. Single AA Battery powered Quartz Movement. The clock was made in two editions. One (like this one) had Georg Christensen’s name on the face The other edition said Arne Jacobsen on the face, as they both collaborated on the design. Later re-editions of this clock, in 2000, only were produced with designer Arnie Jacobsen’s name on the face. I believe the re-editions were made in Germany. On the bottom of the face, of this clock, it says Made in Denmark. Each hour is indicated by the filled in black box in a row of boxes. Elegant long hands with a center red dot at the vortex. The designer tag and logo is on the back of the clock. 30 cm D x 4 cm Deep. In VERY nice vintage pre-owned condition. Normal wear commensurate with age. 19″W × 2″D × 12H.
