Here is an excellent MCM Brutalist Sunburst 3 Piece Art sculpture attested to Curtis Jere style. The trio is a perfect must-have set for the Mid Century Modern Decor. The main piece is oval and measures 30″L x 20″H, with a flock of birds hand crafted in brass and copper. The two round flanking matching pieces measure 10″ x 10″ and have the same hand crafted brass and copper birds. They each extend about 1.25 from wall due to the footings and bracing. Each piece has footings and hanging brace on back and are all in excellent vintage condition. Please look at all pictures being they give the best description of these stunning pieces. From an estate — and let me begin by saying I WISH I had never removed it from their wall. So DLJ – I took at least 50 pics and this is the best I can do. It is a FREE FLOAT wall shelf. In other words whatever you sit on it — will look as if it is hanging mid-air because of the clear acrylic. It measures 24″ wide/long x 8″ deep and top to bottom will be about 6. The acrylic itself is a half inch thick. There is some scratching on the acrylic (age appropriate), a couple of paint drips but overall this is a FANTASTIC Dorothy Thorpe piece. I would guess whomever designed it was going toward the famous acrylic candlesticks due to the pieces styled underneath. It’s a rare find! Any bright spots on my pics are overhead lighting GOOD LUCK! I clean out estates for probate attorneys and run into allllll kind of the different things. Please take the time and look at my other store listings…. You may be surprised! I have no OCD or retentive issues. 2 – I empty the contents of estates caught up in probate (no foreclosures): I do not know if at one point the home contained animals or smokers or perfume wearers or dust or mold or who they voted for in elections! IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE IN ANY WAY PLEASE REFRAIN. I will, to the best of my ability, describe any shortcomings (if any) the item may have. This listing is for a Vintage Mid Century Modern La Cava Italian Art Pottery Figural Portrait Face Wall Sculpture / Hat or Coat Hook. It is Signed “LA CAVA ITALY” on back (photo 5). It is Matte Black in color with a Carved Design of a Female Face on front. The Face is Half White, Half Black, and has Blonde / Yellow Hair. The Wall Plate has Glossy Red, Yellow, and White Stripes. It is in excellent condition overall with no chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. Not sure if hanging wire is original, but thats how i got it. Excellent condition Poul Cadovius wall unit system with beautiful walnut grain veneer on particle board, and the very hard to find corner shelves. Most pieces are stamped “MADE IN DENMARK”. In addition to what you see in the first two pics, there is one more 79″ wall bracket and three more 8″ shelves included. This will give you an additional bay on either side. This set consists of the following. 5 wall brackets approx. 79 high each (only 4 shown in the pics). 1 secretary cabinet 14 3/4″ deep x 16 3/4″ high. Please note the broken loop on the key (4th pic) -it still works just fine. 2 corner shelves 8 deep. 1 corner shelf 9 1/2 deep. 4 regular 8 deep shelves (one shelf missing one hanger, third pic). 1 regular 9 1/2 deep shelf. The 2-piece corner shelves assembled are approximately 27 1/2″ x 27 1/2″, while the cabinet and regular shelves are the typical 31 1/2 length. The small metal pins under the shelves are not original, and made from metal dowel rod cut to size. Everything is in nice condition and fits together snugly. The shelves are straight, with no warping. There are minor signs of wear on the shelves and cabinet top like light scratches, and some small nicks here and there, but nothing intrusive. No separation or loose veneer. The pieces vary a little in color, but there appears to be no sun fading, and everything looks good together. It looks great as-is, though you might want to oil it, which will lessen the appearance of any scratches. Appears to have never been refinished. For local pick-up only. Extremely rare Poul Cadovius Mid Century Modern tension pole Cado Wall System / room divider. This gorgeous two bay system works with 8′ ceilings and consists of three solid teak poles which are double sided so that it can be used as a room divider by interchanging the shelving between the front and back of the unit or as a wall unit by placing all the shelves along one side. This set will work with other Poul Cadovius Royal System components that use the peg system so that you can add on to the set. The set includes: (1) three (3) solid teak double sides poles with metal tension supports on either end (2) five (5) teak shelves with triangular supports; each shelf branded “Made in Denmark” (3) two (2) magazine / book shelves This two bay system is completely modular and the shelves can be positioned anywhere on the rails. The teak color & grain are outstanding and the cabinets and rails are in very good vintage condition. These Wall Systems are very functional & sought after as they are rare and very collectible. Note: the last few photos are not of this unit but do show how it can be used as a room divider by splitting up the shelving between front and back. Measurements: H 97″ x W 65″; depth depends on if you use as a room divider and put items on both sides of the poles.
