ON A SLANT FROM THE BOTTOM TO THE TOP OF THE BOWL 5-5/8. BEAUTIFULLY TEXTURED & DESIGNED EXTERIOR. PINE TREE POTTERY LOGO…. THE ONLY ONE I`VE SEEN ON VIBERT POTTERY. This rare item is hand signed Vibert, Maine as shown and even a pine tree logo, making this a very early bowl. This mid-century modern piece has a beautiful glaze with brown rim and a sunrise pattern. It is in very good used vintage condition, with no chips or cracks and only signs of being used as it should. Vibert early pieces such as this has become prized collectibles. Denis studied pottery making at a local school near his in-laws home. Since 1948, Denis Vibert and his wife Ruth have operated the Pine Tree Kiln of Maine from their home. To confirm, Denis created primarily functional wares and his wife managed the gallery. We have found the pots from this pottery are thrown with great skills and decorated with glazes utilizing a wonderful array of earth tones. The items we sell come from a variety of sources including retail stores, thrift stores, garage sales and our own closets. Because of this we may not be able to tell you everything about an item.
