A VERY RARE MID CENTURY MODERN METAL FLOOR LAMP WITH ETCHED FLORAL DESIGNS. DESIGNED WITH 3 TIERS OF LARGE, HEAVY ETCHED METAL TEARDROP BALLS. WITH 3 “LIGHT BULB SIZE” METAL TEARDROPS PER TIER. EACH ETCHED TEARDROP IS 5 1/2″ LONG X 2 1/4″ WIDE. POSSIBLY BY DANISH DESIGNER ERIK HOGLUND (OR IMPORTANT PREDECESSOR). PLEASE SEE HIS GLASS TEARDROP FLOOR LAMPS WITH THE EXACT DESIGN AND SAME GLASS SHADE AND BLACK ENAMEL COATED ROUND BASE. THIS ONE IS OBVIOUSLY FROM THE 1950’S-1960’S AND IS MADE OF REAL ETCHED METAL INSTEAD OF GLASS, MAKING IT EXTREMELY RARE! 49 HIGH WITH LAMP SHADE. 44 HIGH TO BULB SOCKET. WEIGHTS ABOUT 12 LBS AS SHOWN. 1950’S- 1960’S ESTIMATE. This stunning floor lamp is a perfect addition to any mid-century modern collection. For sale is a gorgeous mid century lamp base featuring a textured mold-blown cased caramel brown glass over white glass designed by Helena Tynell for Luxus. The variation in glass thickness gives the lamp a lovely organic quality, with subtle variations in color density overall. Signed “Luxus, Made in Sweden, NR, 1161.32″. The lamp base is in very good condition with the exception of a tiny imperfection on the top row of glass knobbies. Please see the photo #4. The lamp has a European style plug and would require an adapter for US use. Toggle switch for easy on /off. The top white & black piece which houses the socket is not affixed to the lamp base, but there is evidence of glue residue. Please refer to photos. I do not know if any other pieces, decorative or otherwise, were mounted to the top of the base. There is no lampshade or harp. Base Measures 15-3/4″ h x 5-1/2″ in diameter. The base would accommodate a shade measuring 11″ h x 14″ diameter at the base and 12 diameter at the top in order to look… The referenced lamps have had some work done to them, so may not be entirely original.

MID CENTURY MODERN SWEDISH FROSTED GLASS LAMP BY LAUREL LAMP CO. Produced in the 1960s and made in Sweden, this minimalistic lamp is rare and unique. Three small metal rods at the base of the lamp unscrew for the easy change of the bulb. A new LED bulb is included and installed in the lamp. The lamp has a Scandinavian modern sculptural look and a displays beautifully with its soft glow. Dimensions: Approximately 13.75 H. The widest at top is 7. Base is 5.5.
