Offered is this very rare vintage 1950s Alvar Aalto 3031 glass vase. Its a massive piece measuring 30.5cm tall(12″) and top edge diameter is 30.5cm(12″) x 29cm(11.4). Engraved signature on the base. The condition is excellent with the only damage(other than normal signs of age and use like minor scratches to the base) a shallow flake to the top rim as pictured. This can easily be polished off by a professional as the rim already has a flat ground and polished edge. This is an original early wood mould blown example which you can see by the waviness of the glass. It’s a much more beautiful effect than the newer metal moulded production.
