This is for a very rare mid century tension room divider that is complete. As anything vintage there is normal normal wear but the overall condition of this item is good. Here are some of the features that this unique item has. First like I said everything is complete. All tension parts are there and functioning properly shelves sit flat and the smaller ones are adjustable they can move however you like left or right. All shelves are clean no major stains only minor wear as you can see from the photos. Both bulbs unscrew and screw in easily, the bulbs overall are in good condition some of the print is faded on the glassware as you can see whats nice is its easy to find replacements I just never did so almost all lights will screw into this fixture the only issue the is one of the glass domes has a very small chip on the bottom but you do not see this because of the length also the bottom curves in hiding that. By the lights is a gold brass curl one of those curls moves easily which is no big deal just stating it and there is a Cap that goes in front of it which is missing again very cosmetic and really takes nothing away from the lamp. Its very small and cosmetic just stating it for a full description. All the wiring is soft has been tested and has no issues lite one or two bulbs. Tension rods movies elite once this is up it is very sturdy. I only used this for a little while I live in the city in my apartment has very tall ceilings very tall this works in most homes and has some good height to it. Taller than most tension lamps I have owned a ton of them and this one stands a little taller than most. Here are all the dimensions. Tension light fixture 97 inches tall Long shelf on bottom is 11 1/2 inches wide 3 feet long small shelf 15 1/2 inches long 11 1/2 wide. Light fixtures 1 foot mom 4 inches wide. One of Gerald Thurston’s contributions to lighting design, the “scissor lamp” stands as a seminal work, inaugurating the designer within the ranks of Mid-Century icons. Featuring metal and brass, its definitive of the functional design characteristic to Mid-Century Modernism furnishings. Condition is used functional. The scissor mechanism and adjustments function fine. Lamp has no mesh diffuser screen and On Off button may need replacement or adjustment although it turns on when plugged in. Spring tension unit in pole housing supports perfect when placed in vertical position. This is the original scissor pole mount lamp and not the more common wall mount type. This is a nearly 50 year old item and appears to have the standard wear and use. Pole Length- 105.5. Any questions, please ask before purchasing. Stiffel atomic mid-century pole lamp from the 1950s. The lamp even comes with extension for very high ceilings. Dimensions: 193″ (with extension) / 94″ (without extension). This was a high-end example of a Stiffel pole lamp. It features 4 adjustable mixed-metal perforated cones, and it is made of brass, aluminum and silver. The cones measure 13.5″ long including the handles, and 3.25″ wide, one cone has mild denting. There are five push-button switches, one for each shade and one master control switch. All switches function perfectly. It has a gold Stiffel metal tag on the pole. The lamp comes with an extension piece which enables you to adjust the height of the lamp to a higher or lower ceiling. Fully extended the lamp measures 103.25″ tall with the extender in place, and 94.25″ tall without it. Tested and all four lights and switches work. The lamp good use a good polish but is structurally sound and very well made. Please refer to photos for details. Looks to be missing one small accent disc on the lower right side lamp, this does not effect the functionality of the lamp. The design of this lamp is often attributed to Raymond Loewy, although Theophile A. Stiffel designed and acquired a patent for a similar looking pole lamp in 1956.
