Robsjohn Gibbings for Widdicomb Lounge Chair and Ottoman, rare matching pair with desirable and hard to find WWA-6 ottoman. Good candidates for restoration. Could be used as is but there are various scuffs, dings, paint splatters and general wear to the finish. The upholstery is in decent shape with no rips or tears, but there are loose threads, pilling and various spots or small stains. The foam cores are soft with no signs of dry rot. I have not cleaned or touched up the pieces in any way. Great set that would benefit from a proper and professional restoration. Please see photos and ask questions. This chair is hard to come by and should be on any collectors wishlist. 5646 chair designed by Edward wormley for Dunbar furniture consists of a walnut barrel back with solid paddle arms and was recently upholstered in a beige edelman leather. 23″ W x 24″D x 31″ H with a seath height of 19″ at the front. Two veneer patches that blend pretty well can be seen in the last two photos. New edelman leather which is super durable and is a creamy beige color. Foam in the back rest is firm. East coast deliveries are more frequent. If you are on the west coast it may take longer to get it to you. An option I will visit if you desire. POLICIES:I sell as found vintage items. Six-piece Maurizio Tempestini for John Salterini clamshell lounge patio group. Original and vintage, circa 1950’s. Six pieces included are a pair of chairs, settee, coffee table and pair of stackable side tables in rare avocado / sea foam green. Extremely easy on the eyes is this set. A rare find to put it mildly. CONDITION REPORT: Set displays lovely patina with only mild oxidation to paint. All feet are present except for the small stackable tables which to our knowledge are not Salterini. They function and present very well with the chairs and larger table, however. It is possible if not likely that the set was painted after production. If so it was very professionally done a very long time ago. The paint really looks factory, though that is admittedly hard to believe. Either way, absolutely gorgeous vintage set for your garden, patio or sunroom. We can personally deliver blanket wrapped, white glove service for certain items or multiple items to the southeast as well as many central and eastern states. Pierre Paulin Globe Lounge Chair and ottoman by Artifort. With its elegantly rounded shell on a chromed tubular base, the Globe Chaise has all the qualities of a comfortable modern chaise. The Globe Lounge Chair was designed by French designer Pierre Paulin for Artifort in 1959/60. Pierre Paulin trained to become a sculptor in Paris but an unfortunate accident left one of his hands partially impaired. Pierre Paulin was able to infuse the free-flowing curves of sculpture into his fabulous chairs. This careful balance of rounded free-flowing design is typical of Pierre Paulin’s organic furniture style. The simplicity and gently curved forms of his Globe Lounge Chair makes the design seem tranquil, pure and inviting. Fantastic early and rare lounge chairs from an old cape cod estate. One retains a good amount of the original Thayer Coggin label, the other has just a trace. The frames are in nice solid condition with incredible sculptural arms. On arm has a small cluster of pockmarks as shown. That same chair has had the corners of the seat support rounded off. Cushions should cover this up for the most part. The other chair still has the square corners, but some bite marks. Beautiful chairs reminiscent of a Finn Juhl design.
