Rare Vintage Italiana Luce Tabla Table Lamp Mario Barbaglia Marco Colombo Italy. A few notes about this piece. Excellent vintage condition, there are expected scuffs and scratches, but nothing major. Tested and working, goes through all three brightness settings upward and downward. Appears to have been rewired at some point as the cord and plug look newer than other Tabla lamps I’ve come across. Set screw that secures arm to base is missing, but this does not affect function. The lamp should always be carried from the base anyway whether the set screw is present or not. This lamp separates into two pieces which you can view in the last image. Reassembly is simple, just plug the arm back in to the base. This lamp is in great vintage condition, it has a few scuffs and scratches on the base as any vintage piece would. Also appears to have been rewired at some point since the plug appears newer than other tablas I’ve seen. Please review all pictures for greater detail of condition and feel free to reach out with any questions.

Beautiful table lamp / abat-jour with organic shape diffuser in Cocoon and lacquered metal base, designed probably by Achille and Piergiacomo Castiglioni between the 60s and 70s for LichtStudio Eisenkeil, an Italian company that still produces exclusively for Flos the lamps in Cocoon. The conditions of the lamp are really good in relation to the years and well described in the photos: working; lampshade without holes, cuts or tears; wooden base with perfect lacquering except for an easily restored vertical grain of the wood (see photo). Le condizioni della lampada sono veramente buone in relazione agli anni e ben descritte in foto: funzionante; paralume senza buchi, tagli o strappi; base in legno con laccatura perfetta eccetto una venatura verticale del legno facilmente restauratile (vedi foto). Elementi di raccordo e portalampada invece sono in plastica bianca. Componenti elettriche originali dell’epoca. Rara lampada dalla luce calda e d’atmosfera… Perfetta accanto al letto. Negli anni’60 gli esperimenti di George Nelson basati su strutture a telaio di metallo per lampadari ispirarono Artur Eisenkeil fondatore dell’azienda. Nella creazione dei primi prototipi di paralumi Cocoon, nei quali il telaio in filo d’acciaio bianco/gommato veniva prima modellato e poi spruzzato in Cocoon, una pellicola di plastica polimerica o fibra di vetro filata molto resistente proveniente dagli Stati Uniti.
