The 3.5 H, hand-blwn glass vessel, was both initially hand-blown & then submitted to a repeated’subversion’ process or in Italian’sommerso,’ where the glass form would be dipped & submerged in divergent colored glass, creating layers of different episodes of color. The artist chose to cut & polish a transparent window in which to observe the results of the sommerso technique.
