Listed for sale is a rare and original early Evans walnut LCM lounge chair, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. This particular example is marked with an earlier sale tag and features the early screw-in glides, dating it to around 1950. Came from same estate as various other Evans pieces. Walnut veneer looks excellent with minimal wear as can be seen in the photos. Shock Mounts and Screws. Screws are all original, shock mounts are holding and strong. Listed for sale is a very special piece. It is an early Prototype for an Eames CTW / CTM – like coffee table, which uses the manufactured CTW / CTM top, along with a welded base similar to the Eiffel tower chairs. The definitive notes are as follows. This table comes from the household of a former Herman Miller employee. The table top was made using the same mold as a CTW or CTM and shares identical dimensions (do note the comparison photo). The table top uses correct veneers and wear is period correct. Exact year of production is not known. This exact table was featured in an article on Herman Miller’s website called The Other Herman Miller.
