A Rare Mid Century Modern Designer Pair of Lamps. A unique pair of diminutive 1950’s mid century Modern designer Lamps. In all original condition with all all the original hardware in tact and in working order. Fantastic composition of French ceramic body with a stylized base and scalloped inverted bronze based on top of the ebonized metal pedestals. Absolutely high quality hardware and studio ceramic with a designer’s touch in putting these lamps together. Friends, I have never seen Lamps in this unusual size rather diminutive yet they make a tremendous amount of decorative impact with all the components being integrated as such. The gray greenish ceramic porcelain glaze body of the lamps is textured no cracks, breaks, or restorations. Marvelous feel when you run your hands on the surface of the ceramic lamps and feel the textured pattern. Just look at how much care was given in the Finials that screw in at the top of the lamp: simply artistic all around. 21″ tall x 5.25″. Very rare considered Museum quality, measures 7 7/8 inches in height, 9 inches wide, and depth 7 inches. It is in great vintage condition. The design is referred to as Mesa and Gulfstream. Up on offer here is this rare mid-century modern 1960s Scandinavian “Danish” designer three-tiered Flying Saucer pendant light feature believed by Preben Fabricius & Jørgen Kastholm for Nordisk Solar in the style of Poul Henningsen lights. Valuable piece of mid-century modern designer lighting.. Built in white metal polished aluminum alloy with a light transparent powder coating giving it a unique surface finish. Hree-tiered structure with four central columns design. Down light central funnel housing the white milk glass Opaline half globe shade. Riginal chrome B22 bayonet fit bulb holder with a B22 Bell LED bayonet fit dimmable bulb. Decorative ventilated upper stem in a central crater on upper tier. Wired in three core silk braided twist cable with cord locks at three places. Earthed, tested, and in perfect working order. Large heavy gauge chrome stepped ceiling plate. Ready to be integrated into an existing ceiling circuit. (no additional parts required; just a space on the ceiling and three standard fixing screws). Looks superb in a modern or traditional setting alike. Very attractive piece of mid-century design when un-lit and a unique piece of designer lighting when lit. For dimensions, please see images.
