Original 1950s era Heywood Wakefield “Bow Tie” dining chairs, a set of one armchair and four side chairs. Heywood Wakefield manufactured fine furniture for over a century and their furniture are collectibles. These classic Mid Century Modern chairs feature solid maple construction. Chairs are stamped underneath with M533A and the Heywood Wakefield logo. A great addition to your collection. The chairs are in fair condition having signs of use, such as age wear and scuffing. The set needs some cleaning and polishing and the seats require reupholstering. The original finish, which appears to be “wheat, ” has lightened with age. The set has no cracks or repairs. Each chair measures 31.5″H X 17.5″W X 16″D and 17.5″H to the seat and weighs about 20 pounds. This listing is for a very unique set of 4 dining chairs. Frame and legs made faux bamboo, back spindles with cane accents. Size in inch es approx. Seat 18.50 wide front 15 wide back x 16 deep x 17.25 tall. Many scratches and paint discolored. Some small imperfections in the cane. Some strips of finish coat needs reglued (see last picture). Item is vintage, please expect surface marks, paint rubbed etc due to age and use. Not all items have been exclusively in my possession, so I can’t guarantee the environment in which they have always been stored. This listing is for a set of 4 chairs. Manufactured by The Keller co. They measure in inches. Seat is 18.50 tall. 20 wide at the front and 14 wide at the back. The captain chair: floor to armrest 24.25 tall. The seats are NOT original! They were damaged, so replaced with some same era Stanley ones. NOT attached to the frames. One corner under the seat seems to have been reglued (armchair). This item is vintage, please expect some surface marks, stain rubbed etc due to age and use. Rare and unusual solid teak lounge chairs probably designed by Arne Hovmand Olsen for Mogens Kold (based on design features, construction details and period image). Fantastic spear arms and a unique wrap around form. High quality craftsmanship and very comfortable seating angle and seat proportions. Original fabric is in acceptable condition with slight hardening of the foam. Recommend new foam and upholstery. Frames are in very good condition. Both marked made in Denmark and with the Danish Furniture Control Mark, dating these to post 1958. Here are 2 beautiful chairs. I was told they were original Wassily -I do not know if they are or not. The chrome frame does not have caps. The leather is thick. No markings on anything. There are a couple of scuffs but nothing serious. This has seen it’s last markdown, for any lower price than this and I will just keep them. Thank you, these really are very nice chairs.
