This is a very interesting mid-century modern chair. I couldnt find any information it. I believe it to be made of rosewood, and made before 1969. The seat has been replaced and has stickers on the bottom that say the date 3-12-69, so this leads me to believe the chair predates that date. It has a danish look to it, but it could also be a very nicely homemade chair. It is in excellent condition for its age, but has some quirks. Here is a very awesome Mid Century (Probably Reproduction) Modern Eero Aarnio Ball Chair. I can’t find the label on it. These had their debute in the 1960s. The fabric feels 1960s. The paint has some chips and the inside padding has a maybe removable stain. Please look over the pictures. I left it as is so it will be original. Its sturdy and very comfortable. I’m about 1 hour from the Smokey Mountains. This is a very cool and super rare Eero Aarnio type Ball chair!!! Please check out my other items! Charles Eames Lounge Chair 670 – Rare Original 1959 Herman Miller in Good Condition. Listed for sale is a remarkably well-preserved first edition 1959 Herman Miller Eames Lounge Chair. With gorgeous 5 ply Brazilian rosewood panels, rubber shock mounts, three arm screws, silver round disc clips, and down-filled cushions, this example is in good original condition. Famously described as a special refuge from the strains of modern living, the iconic Eames Lounge Chair is one of the most significant designs of the 20th century. Unparalleled craftsmanship and rigorous attention to detail made it a fixture in homes across the world. Attached is a 1959 photo of the lounge chair in the newly completed house, designed by my father, that I now live in. The shell and cushions show some wear and imperfections as is typical for chairs of this vintage. The curved rosewood plywood shells have five layers and do not show any chips or damage. Brazilian rosewood (Dalbergia Nigra) veneer manufacturing was discontinued in 1990, due to harvesting restrictions species protection. Has original circular silver cushion clips. The die-cast aluminum posts, base and parts are in nice condition and shine appropriately. Original black paint on metal parts is intact. Metal armrest struts have three black screws (thus pre-1971). There are minor cosmetic scratches on the aluminum backrest posts and outer plywood shell. The original’Patent Pending’ paper label is still affixed to the bottom of chair (see photo). HM foil label fell off and was misplaced. Original rubber shock mounts are in great shape (one failed armrest shock mount was replaced in 1987 by a Herman Miller dealer). There are some scratches on the leather armrest cushions. The bottom seat cushion black leather was also replaced at that time due to extensive wear, but the plastic backing is original. One grommet on the seat was separated from the plastic backing and was repaired. Can send more photos upon request. Decide whether you prefer patina or refurbishment. Coolest and rarest MCM CHAIRS E V E R! These c hairs may have been special order prototype built by Juhl, or Wegner (attributed). You can see echoes of Juhl’s “V” brace, and. Grasshopper slant with petal seat in chair. Regardless, these chairs are certainly very special, rare, and in primo condition. Not only do they look spectacular, but they are also stackable, which is another amazing. See pics for complete details. Excellent condition with no cracked wood or repairs. Seat has been newly reupholstered, but original color was white, and still under new upholstery. Seat seems extra wide with triangular, petal shape. You’ll never see another one so don’t miss out.
