For sale, a nice modular credenza cabinet with matching bench platform. Designed by Paul McCobb for the Planner Collection of the “Winchendon” line of functional furniture. Credenza Cabinet #1512 and rare Bench Platform #1540 are made of solid maple wood. Cabinet dimensions are approximately 24″ inches high by 24″ inches wide and is 18 inches deep. Its top, bottom and side walls are a solid 5/8 inches thick and has a plywood back. Inside of top shelf dimensions are 22.5″ by 16.25″ and is 7 high. Bottom storage area is 22.5″ by 16.25″ and 14.5 high. Heavy slate-fiber sliding doors are covered in McCobb’s textured grass cloth fabric that’s durable and easy to clean. Doors adorned with shiny round aluminum pulls in excellent condition. Doors can easily be removed by lifting them up then pulling out at bottom. Cabinet is a perfect fit to a matching 24″ by 18″ by 10 inch high, splayed leg Bench Platform #1540. That bench platform is quite rare and hard to find. Total height of both once stacked is 34 inches. There is a repair to the inside of one slate-fiber door. It’s a nice and solid fix and there are no. Visible signs of that repair to front of door (see photo #10). Use cabinet bottom to store up to 110 record albums comfortably. Top shelf good for audio equipment, books or magazines. Sturdy combination would also make an excellent tv stand. Total weight of credenza and stand is 85 pounds. McCobb’s minimalist Planner Design is classic Modern. His furniture is sought after by collectors for its quality, design and functionality. Will be carefully packed and sent in three large boxes (cabinet, bench and doors).
