This is a one of a kind Tony Evans Mid Century Modern Opalescent Vase On a Hand Forged Iron Stand. It was fabricated in the 1970’s. And it is signed on the bottom. The opalescent color is almost impossible to photograph. Think of the inside of an Abalone Shell, and that is those are the radient of colors this magnificent creation. This scupture/vase simply sparkles in a room, especially when light hits it. And it gorgeous from every single angle. Tony Evans was a renowned art glass and raku ceramic artist. He was also a well known scientist who specialized in nautural materials. And was considered a leading expert in metals, glass, stone and how they functioned with one another. Tony Evans was a professor both at Harvard and Princeton during his career. Throughout, he was the recipient of numerous awards for his outstanding work in glass and ceramics. He was born in 1942 and passed in 2009. This exquisite tribute to this wonderful artist is being made available for the first time from our collection of Mid Century Art.
