Wegner designed for Carl Hansen & Søn in 1950, the CH23 dining chair is an early example of Wegners style and craftsmanship. While its simple and clean lines embody Danish mid century modern design, the CH23 incorporates many fine, sophisticated and iconic Wegner details, among them the elegant cruciform cover caps in the backrest and a unique hand-woven double paper cord seat. Among Danish furniture designers, Hans J. Minimalist classic form finished in high quality shiny chrome and orange wool upholstery from Kvadrat “hallingdal”. Authentic, marked with Thonet sticker. Some small scratches/tarnish on chrome, original vintage upholstery. Steel pipe rocking chair with cantilever function, molded plywood bucket, padding of cold foam, round tubular frame.
