Rare Original Evelyn Ackermann Tapestry “Duck”. This is a handwoven wool tapestry. It measures 23 inches wide by 24 1/2 inches tall. The blue coloring has bled into the cream in the body of the bird. Additionally, the entire piece has faded over time. It still has very nice coloring. Otherwise the weave itself is in good condition. I imagine taking it to a professional restorer would help fix the bleeding and protect it for the future. It has the original label and signature in the tapestry. Evelyn Ackerman and her husband are attributed with creating the California mid-century modern movement. Happy to answer questions and send additional photos. Rare and sought after Pyrex JAJ Coliditz 513 3 pint round casserole with lid. Stunning pattern and displays very well with US pyrex turquoise displays. Correct JAJ lid with little wear-few light scratches-I didnt find any chips or cracks. Interior of the base has some minimal hazing like you see often on US made federal glass bowls but doesnt seem to have seen much use. I didnt feel any chips or cracks. 5cm of roughness at the seam-very very minimal. Paint and pattern are in good condition however paint is not shiny and price will reflect this. A few areas of pinpoint paint loss on light testing. Last photo is a comparison shot with the colditz 509 to compare paint. It is NOT included in this listing but is listed separately.
