A pair of jamaica bar stools made by Amat Spain and designed by Pepe Cortes. Later produced by Knoll International. One of the chairs till bares traces of the old label of Amat. Early production and the wooden chairs are no longer in production. Hard to find them in beech wood. Very nice modern design. Highest point of the wooden seat is 82 cm. Pierre Paulin Globe Lounge Chair and ottoman by Artifort. With its elegantly rounded shell on a chromed tubular base, the Globe Chaise has all the qualities of a comfortable modern chaise. The Globe Lounge Chair was designed by French designer Pierre Paulin for Artifort in 1959/60. Pierre Paulin trained to become a sculptor in Paris but an unfortunate accident left one of his hands partially impaired. Pierre Paulin was able to infuse the free-flowing curves of sculpture into his fabulous chairs. This careful balance of rounded free-flowing design is typical of Pierre Paulin’s organic furniture style. The simplicity and gently curved forms of his Globe Lounge Chair makes the design seem tranquil, pure and inviting. From an estate — and let me begin by saying I WISH I had never removed it from their wall. So DLJ – I took at least 50 pics and this is the best I can do. It is a FREE FLOAT wall shelf. In other words whatever you sit on it — will look as if it is hanging mid-air because of the clear acrylic. It measures 24″ wide/long x 8″ deep and top to bottom will be about 6. The acrylic itself is a half inch thick. There is some scratching on the acrylic (age appropriate), a couple of paint drips but overall this is a FANTASTIC Dorothy Thorpe piece. I would guess whomever designed it was going toward the famous acrylic candlesticks due to the pieces styled underneath. It’s a rare find! Any bright spots on my pics are overhead lighting GOOD LUCK! I clean out estates for probate attorneys and run into allllll kind of the different things. Please take the time and look at my other store listings…. You may be surprised! I have no OCD or retentive issues. 2 – I empty the contents of estates caught up in probate (no foreclosures): I do not know if at one point the home contained animals or smokers or perfume wearers or dust or mold or who they voted for in elections! IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE IN ANY WAY PLEASE REFRAIN. I will, to the best of my ability, describe any shortcomings (if any) the item may have. SUPER PRETTY Retro Vintage VIBRANT COBALT BLUE glass Bubble pattern Genie Bottle in EXCELLENT condition. It has the usual odd air bubble or lines & creases of mid century Glass and there is no plastic bung on the stopper so I have put on a rubber band for the photos just for a snug fit but you can remove that if you want to. Any white showing is just a reflection and is not there in person. The actual colour of this bottle is more of a rich vibrant Purpley/Blue in person (whereas the photos make it look just Blue), it is ABSOLUTELY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL colour you have ever seen, super eye-catching and is 100% be the star attraction of any collection. NO PHOTOS even come close to how this Genie Bottle looks in person and the Bubble pattern is superbly prominent all over the bottle as well.
