Rare 1960s Desk /Table Lamp manufactured by Kaiser Leuchten, Germany. Domed lampshade is made of sheet metal lacquered with a textured green paint. It has been lacquered white on the inside for light reflection. There is one bulb socket made of plastic. Thick tubed stem made of brass with a flex made of black plastic at the top and attaching to the shade. The heavy base is made of thick sheet steel and is lacquered textured green paint. A rocker switch is situated on the brass stem. The lamp is in very good / good condition and in full working order. Blemishes to the brass stem. The lamp takes one E27 bulb. This lamp can be used with 110-230v supplies. As with all vintage electrical equipment, it is advisable to have it checked by a qualified electrician. Although we strive to give as accurate a description as possible, patina and age-related wear are to be expected. However, we will always indicate any noticeable defects. As usual with all Holophane lighting, it is fine quality, substantial & well made, consists of aluminium sections as well as a Nickel plated copper band on the underside. As usual with all vintage Holophane lighting, it has a thick & weighty glass shade which is a two part shade & is in great condition, no cracks or chips. An imposing & well proportioned pendant, a real centrepiece in any room, suited for large rooms but not too big for smaller spaces. Takes a standard e27 screw-in bulbs. Width of shade 30cm. Offered for your careful review and consideration is this killer vintage Marcello Fantoni (Italy) Modernist bas-relief, ceramic figurative plaque from Fantoni’s 1950’s’Caveman’ series of glaze decorated, figurative, 2-dimensional light wall sculptures, featuring an assortment of cavemen, their cavemen wives and cavemen children, often depicted humorously with tamed, seemingly benevolent lions, as sorts of domesticated pets and extensions of the cavemen nuclear family. Fantoni clearly was having fun here (perhaps a little too much fun) with this popular series, not nearly as high-minded and as conceptually lofty as his famous, otherworldly glazed ceramic vessels, which made him internationally famous. Signed and with the original affixed Gump’s San Francisco, California luxury retailer’s branded label still on the back. There’s not a whisper on it. It’s in simply incredible condition for those who crave the best and demand near perfection. This vintage Marcello Fantoni’Caveman’ series decorated figurative ceramic plaque of a caveman, cavewoman and a rather friendly, benevolent lion, delivers. It still has its original hanging hook and wire attached. It’s ready to go. What’s on your walls? It’s probably not an authentic, original, vintage Marcello Fantoni ceramic wall plaque of a caveman family looking back at you. You won’t find it at Wal-Mart, Target, Neiman-Marcus, Saks or Bloomingdales but you can find it here. Signed on the verso’Fantoni, Italy’ in cursive script with original affixed sticker from the West Coast department store Gumps that reads. Made in Italy for Gumps, San Francisco, California. Gump’s was a luxury American home furnishings and home décor retailer, founded in 1861 in San Francisco, California. The company was liquidated in 2018. Very good to Excellent, pristine, near immaculate overall condition. Not a whisper on it. If God pooped ice cream sundaes, this would be it. A TOTAL OF THREE IDENTICAL LAMPS ARE AVAILABLE! Designed by Adolf Meyer, 1920s/30s. Makers mark is visible on one of the glass shades: ZEISS IKON. The lamp needs 1 x E40 screwfit bulb. In need, I can deliver an E27 adapter. Attention please: The lamp will be disassembled for the safe transport to prevent a possible damage of the mirrored glass. Brass, mirrored glas and cast metal. 34 cm, height lamp shade ca. Very good original vintage condition. Wear consistent with use and age. Brass with typical oxidation not polished to keep the patina.
