Fabulous pair of Gerald Thurston Lightolier lamps. These are both in working condition. One looks bigger than the other but that’s because they have two different types of light bulbs in them so the shade comes down lower on the one with the shorter bulb. I measured both and they are 22″ tall from top of the shade to the bottom of the base, the shades are 7″ long and 42 around the fattest section of the shade. The shades are plastic, the base is metal. Other than some dust, these are in great shape, no cracks or anything in the shades, they just need to be wiped down. When turned off the shades are an off white color, when turned on, they are orange color. Very cool midcentury lamps, hard to find a matching pair in this style and in this good condition. Smoke free pet free home.

As time passed they focused on Wood, Chalkware & Plaster for early “mid century modern” sensibilities! Their volume was extremely low, by standards of the period. Often output would equal less than a hundred lamps per year. This number dwindled and the company folded in the early seventies. If one looks longer & closer the details make one realize there is so much more!

RARE PAIR MODELINE CIRCA 1960’S MID-CENTURY MODERN TABLE LAMPS. This rare pair of vintage-modern sculptural lamps were made by MODELINE in CA during the 60’s (5VH64E), all orginal. They have inverted cone shaped shades and walnut pull chain. The bases are round walnut with sunken brass accent. The wood is in very good to excellent condition. No patina on brass accent however there is some on pull chain. As you can tell from pics one cord does need to be replaced but is still in good working order. It’s hard to see but there are some hairline cracks in the shades, I did my best to capture it, not very noticable when turned on. The cords are orginal. The difference in lighting is due to 2 different size watts in the bulbs. The lamps are 30.5″ high, base is 7.5″ wide, the shade itself is 18″ tall, and 9″ deep. Thank you for viewing.
