Up for your consideration is a very rare and hard to find Flour Canister in the Franciscan Starburst pattern. This canister measures 9 1/4 tall (not including the lid) and is the largest of the four canisters. This canister is in almost mint condition with the exception of a tiny pin prick on the rim (please see picture above). Also, the canister does have extensive “peppering” but I find that normal with this pattern. Starburst is a decaled pattern which was introduced in 1954. It features small and large blue and yellow dots through which black lines radiate. The vessel shape was named Eclipse and was designed by George James. This set of canisters will make a wonderful addition to your Starburst collection.
