Very rare Herman Miller/ Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman. Made of rosewood 5-ply plywood, cushions are original black leather goose down filled. Original stickers on bottom of chair see pictures. #103 is stamped into wood on seat and back of chair. This is truly one beautiful chair, one of the first chairs produced, and in very good condition other than; the shock mounts were repaired by an amateur that drilled into the wood in all four of mounts. We got an estimate from a very reputable company that specializes in repairs on Eames furniture. Ottoman in very good condition, does not swivel. This generation chair does not come along often. Additional pictures available upon request! Please note this item was revised due to new information that 1st generation chairs have 3 screws in the arms and ours has two. Also the labels date it to 1964. It is still a very rare find, with original leather and down filling, as well as the Rosewood base. , if you send me your ZIP. Gio Ponti, the figure of undisputed fame in the panorama of architecture of the twentieth century Italian design, has devoted part of his reflection is not marginal to the design of sacred buildings and their liturgical accessories. This particular area, that Bridges has tackled with great dedication, starting from a deep religious meditation, is still almost completely unknown to the public. This volume thus fills a gap in the literature on critical author, providing a detailed overview of religious works, like the Milan parish, including St. Francis to Fopponino, or the co-cathedral of Taranto, and the numerous tombs and funeral chapels, some up to now unpublished, that Bridges has often designed for the same clients that interpellavano for the realization of civil buildings. SPECIAL SALE PRICE – LIMITED TIME OFFER. For your consideration is one of the holy grail items for vintage Eames collectors: the ever elusive dowel base table. This is definitely for serious Eames collectors and would be an amazing addition to any mid century modern collection. Given its rudimentary attachments, this particular one we have may have even been a prototype, but we’re not certain. In any case, it’s a great piece and would perfectly complement any Eames chair or other mid century modern furniture in your home or office. Table top diameter: 18. The base is made by SENG CHICAGO (the maker’s mark is still visible on the underside, as depicted), which made most of the early dowel bases for Eames and Herman Miller. This table features one of the rare Seng dowel bases with all original leg tips still intact. There appear to be no rewelds that we can see, which is rare for these bases, but please examine all the photos to make your own determination. “DESIGNED BY CHARLES EAMES” medallion affixed on the bottom of the table. The original tag had fallen off when we got the table, but this is the same era-appropriate tag found on these vintage tables. Overall good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear, notably rust and oxidation on the metal rods and disc of the dowel base, scratches on the wood and surface of the white veneer tabletop, a small chip on the underside near the medallion which won’t be visible when the table is in use, and loose screws attaching the base to the table top. One screw/washer set appears to have been a replacement and doesn’t look like the other three. We would recommend reinforcing these connectors either by adding brackets to the bottom or via epoxy, as the table top moves/spins ever so slightly because of these loose screws. The screw openings/holes in the table’s underside have also loosened/expanded with age, or perhaps were probably already that way to begin with (which makes us further believe this is a prototype, given the rudimentary assembly), so this will need some refurb. When lifting the table, make sure to hold the legs securely with one hand along with the table top with the other. Still a very solid piece and relatively heavy for its small size, with a weight of approximately 16 pounds. This would match beautifully with the seafoam green rope edge chair with original vintage Seng swivel dowel base that we have listed in a separate listing. Since this is a table, the top obviously doesn’t swivel. Only the chairs have swivel dowel bases. Once again, this table will need some refurb work and the price already reflects that.
