A VERY RARE MID CENTURY MODERN METAL FLOOR LAMP WITH ETCHED FLORAL DESIGNS. DESIGNED WITH 3 TIERS OF LARGE, HEAVY ETCHED METAL TEARDROP BALLS. WITH 3 “LIGHT BULB SIZE” METAL TEARDROPS PER TIER. EACH ETCHED TEARDROP IS 5 1/2″ LONG X 2 1/4″ WIDE. POSSIBLY BY DANISH DESIGNER ERIK HOGLUND (OR IMPORTANT PREDECESSOR). PLEASE SEE HIS GLASS TEARDROP FLOOR LAMPS WITH THE EXACT DESIGN AND SAME GLASS SHADE AND BLACK ENAMEL COATED ROUND BASE. THIS ONE IS OBVIOUSLY FROM THE 1950’S-1960’S AND IS MADE OF REAL ETCHED METAL INSTEAD OF GLASS, MAKING IT EXTREMELY RARE! 49 HIGH WITH LAMP SHADE. 44 HIGH TO BULB SOCKET. WEIGHTS ABOUT 12 LBS AS SHOWN. 1950’S- 1960’S ESTIMATE. This stunning floor lamp is a perfect addition to any mid-century modern collection.
