Rare yellow fiberglass “Elephant” stool by Japanese designer, Sori Yanagi. Designed in 1954 and produced in Japan by Kotobuki Seating Company. The stool retains both the Yanagi Design and Kotobuki foil labels. Sori Yanagi is a pioneer of post-war Japanese industrial design. The elephant stool is included in the design collection at NY MoMA. Stool has some maufacuting errors and is worn on the top from years of use. In wonderful condition for the age. 17.5W × 18.5D × 13H.
