Up for your consideration is a striking, highly collectible piece of mid-century American art pottery: a Vintage Royal Haeger Model 639 “Head of Priest”. Sculpture has old remnants of some sort of glue on base as shown. I see a possible small part on the back right corner of the base that might have been glued, see photos number 3. Finished in Haeger’s highly sought-after, textured “verdigris” or “desert bronze” glaze, this piece features rich, mottled greens over a metallic bronze-toned base, giving it the appearance of an ancient, weathered oxidized copper or stone artifact. Photos taken in direct and indirect sunlight. 4 inch wide at base. Roughly 6 inches wide at widest point. Back has model 639 impressed. Back has kiln marks. Shows light wear from age and display. A few random discoloration spots in various places. Pet and smoke free environment. As always with our inventory, this fragile ceramic piece will be packed with the utmost professional care, utilizing ample cushioning to ensure it arrives at your door exactly as pictured. Thank you for looking, and please feel free to message with any questions prior to purchasing!
