Galleons of the sea. It’s a beautiful painting my grandmother gave me it is an original painting by Van Gaard studio and is signed on the bottom. A very large painting perfect for large rooms it’s 54 inches horizontal and about 30 inches vertical. Richly colored in shades of orange, gold, and black. Signed Van Gaard in the lower corner. Van Guard Studios was owned and operated by artist Lee Reynolds Burr. Vanguard produced “original” paintings by in-house artists which were signed Van Gaard, Stuart, or Reynolds. Artists at Vanguard Studios duplicated original paintings. Backgrounds were painted in acrylic and then line-work was silk-screened from the master copy. Details were then added to the screened lines to create a raised effect. The finished product was then sprayed with an oil sealer, creating an “original” oil painting. This is a very large, framed painting that measures approximately 54″ wide x 30″ tall (including the frame). Colors are bright and vibrant.
