Original 1950s era Heywood Wakefield “Bow Tie” dining chairs, a set of one armchair and four side chairs. Heywood Wakefield manufactured fine furniture for over a century and their furniture are collectibles. These classic Mid Century Modern chairs feature solid maple construction. Chairs are stamped underneath with M533A and the Heywood Wakefield logo. A great addition to your collection. The chairs are in fair condition having signs of use, such as age wear and scuffing. The set needs some cleaning and polishing and the seats require reupholstering. The original finish, which appears to be “wheat, ” has lightened with age. The set has no cracks or repairs. Each chair measures 31.5″H X 17.5″W X 16″D and 17.5″H to the seat and weighs about 20 pounds. Has some typical wear to shade and enameled surfaces. Walnut switch on the top of the shade turns on the lamp. This would look perfect in a NY Penthouse, Malibu Estate, or UK summer home!
